A Taste of Auckland

Enjoy a full day tour in Auckland. You will be picked up by your guide at 9:00 AM to travel with your guide on board a bus and spend the morning exploring the city on a small group tour and then starting at noon, savoring some of the best New Zealand wines, you can eat local food and drink in a spectacular landscape of the west coast of Auckland.

In Auckland, it is found in more than 50 inactive volcanic cones and between two ports. Auckland is known as the City of Sails, it is the largest and busiest city in New Zealand. This small tour includes a trip to the top of a volcanic cone.

After picking you up at your hotel you will travel to Queen St, through the central business district of Auckland, beyond the University of Auckland and through the inner urban park, known as The Domain. Then you will pass through the picturesque neighborhood of Ponsonby, famous for its historic buildings, before heading down the Harbor Bridge to the North Shore.

You can also pass through Narrow Neck Beach in historic Devonport before continuing to the top of Mount Victoria, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Auckland City and Waitemata Harbor. Then you will pass through the Harbor Bridge towards Westhaven Marina, one of the largest marinas in the southern hemisphere.

Later, you will head northwest to taste the flavors of Kumeu Wine Country, the Auckland wine region. Enjoy a lunch in a contemporary vineyard restaurant, you will have the opportunity to taste wines of world renown and fall in love with the coast surrounded by surfs. Your first stop is at Soljans Vineyard. Soljans has won many awards for their wines and they are also widely recognized in New Zealand as an expert producer of sparkling wines methode traditionelle (fermented in bottle).

Then you will enjoy another lunch and a wine tasting at the Soljans Winery restaurant. The winery is built with sunlight in mind and serves Mediterranean-style food with a New Zealand touch, showing fresh produce. In addition to provoking the taste buds, there is the Coopers Creek vineyard, which can offer you excellent wines from the best regions of New Zealand. Coopers Creek produces a wide variety of wines and are adventurous in the choice of their grapes and blends.

Then you will visit one of the special places in the region where you will have the opportunity to see one of the largest seabirds in the world in its natural environment. This trip takes you to one of the few gannet nesting sites in the world located on the cliffs overlooking the Tasman Sea. Here you get a close-up of the behavior of the gannets without altering their environment.

The last stop of the tour will be at West Brook Winery. The door to the West Brook cellar is seen through a duck pond. The wines reflect their unique regional origins. Without exception, of great quality and have won numerous awards. After this stop, return to Auckland to the same place where you were picked up around 5:15 PM.
