This private full day tour includes pick up at 8:00 in your hotel or residence in Panama City. We will go to the visitor center of the Agua Clara Locks of the Panama Canal located in Colon. Here you will see the transit of boats and a video about the history of the Canal in the museum. Then you will visit Portobelo where you will find La Batería de Santiago, La Iglesia del Cristo Negro and La Casa de la Aduana. The tour ends in Panama City at 16:00.

Detailed Description
This tour begins when you are picked up from your hotel or residence in Panama City at 8:00 in the morning. From there you will be taken in a vehicle or bus to the Agua Clara locks. At 9:30 you can access the visitor center (entrance ticket is not included in the price of the tour). Here you can observe the transit of boats and watch a video about the history of the Panama Canal in the projection room.
Then around 11:00 the vehicle or bus will be waiting for you to take you to lunch. You will have time to have lunch for an hour before arriving to Portobelo. This meal is not included in the price and it can be between 10 to 25 dollars depending on what you would like to eat.
After having lunch and returning to the vehicle or bus, you will arrive at the picturesque town of Portobelo at 13:00. Once you arrive you will have a guided tour through 3 historical places of this town such as La Bateria de Santiago, La Iglesia del Cristo Negro and La Casa de la Aduana.
First you will go to La Bateria de Santigo on the way to Portobelo. The vehicle or bus will stop and there you can go down and learn the history of this place. Once you finish you will enter the vehicle or bus again for 3 minutes to go to La Iglesia Del Cristo Negro, you will get off the bus or vehicle and you can enter and see the Black Christ and other attractions that are in these places. Finally, you will walk about 3 to 5 minutes to visit La Casa de la Aduana.
The entrance to La Bateria de Santiago and La Iglesia del Cristo Negro are totally free. To enter La Casa de La Aduana it has a cost and you can pay it directly upon arrival at the museum (less than 5.00 USD).
From the town of Portobelo, if you like, you can take a boat ride through the Portobelo Bay. It has an additional cost, which can vary depending on the boatman with whom you make your tour. You can ask your guide and he will gladly wait for you until you have finished. At the end of this tour the boatman will take you back to the town of Portobelo around 14:15 to meet your guide once more.
Then your guide and the vehicle or bus will take you to your hotel or residence in Panama City, you will be arriving at 16:00.
