Enjoy a journey of 4.5 hours, being picked up at your hotel to travel to the lake aboard a van. Once you arrive you will travel by boat on Lake Wanaka for 30 minutes. Then you will cycle through the historic agricultural lands and areas next to Lake Wanaka, Your guide will tell you stories while you ride your bike. At the end you will return to the same place where you started.

Detailed Description
Enjoy a 4.5 hour tour by boat and bike combining a cruise on beautiful Lake Wanaka with a mountain bike excursion bordering the shore of the lake. You will be picked up by your guide at your hotel to travel aboard a van to the lake.
Leaving downtown Wanaka, the boat cruise will take you north, up the lake passing close to three islands: Ruby, Mou Tapu and Mou Waho. As you glide through the crystal clear water of the lake, you will enjoy infinite views of the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps. When you reach the beginning of the bike tour after the 30 minute boat cruise, you will have time to organize your bike, take some pictures and enjoy a snack before leaving on our mountain bike tour.
The bike track tours historic agricultural lands and areas of the first settlements of Lake Wanaka. Your guide will tell lots about the history, geography and climate of the area while you are cycling. Your cycling guide will also help you with tips and techniques to improve how you ride a mountain bike during the ride. This guided bike tour will allow you to experience one of the most remote cycling trails in Wanaka with the help of our experienced guides.
Depending on the season, there may even be some exciting stream crossings. Plenty of time is allowed for photo stops and food and refreshments along the way. At the end of the tour the Wanaka Bike Guides driver will wait for you with the van to take you and your bike back to your hotel in Wanaka.
