Detailed Description
In Bocas del Toro and on the banks of the Teribe River (Tjer Di), the community of Bonyik (Naso Tjer Di) proudly displays the home gardens where they produce organic cocoa, bananas, hearts of palm, among other foods. Together with the visitors, they process them in an artisanal way, to obtain astronomical delights loaded with aromas, a lot of history and mysticism.
Day 1: Boat ride, hiking and cultural evening
Departure by land from Changuinola to El Silencio. Navigation on the Teribe river to Bonyik. Visit the Medicinal Community Garden. Visit Las Heliconias Trail, La Amistad International Park (PILA). Dinner. A cultural evening with the community.
Day 2: Exploration in the surroundings and cocoa plantations
Breakfast. Trekking to Cascada Rancho Quemado (Environmental interpretation). Lunch Return to the cabin. Activity: cocoa processing and chocolate making. Dinner.
Day 3: Return to Bocas del Toro
Lunch. Navigation through the Teribe river to El Silencio. Land transfer to Changuinola.
