Detailed Description
We pick you up at your hotel at 8:30 AM and we go to the area of Alto Quiel, to the Finca Elida. This farm is one of the first 4 coffee farms and winner of awards for its Geisha type coffee. You will experience the natural process of growing coffee and you will also taste the famous Geisha coffee in Boquete.
We will talk a little about the history of the farm and the coffee in Panama. We will walk through the plantations so that you can see the different types of trees that have there and learn to differentiate when the fruit of the tree is in optimal conditions to start the process that will end in the coffee beans.
From there we will go to the next stage of the process, which is the drying of the grains, and you will see the different types of sorting of the grains, depending on the season.
It is important to know that the coffee you are going to taste on this tour can buy it outside Panama in packages of up to $300.00 USD, here you can get it at $50.00 USD a pound.
