Detailed Description
You will be picked up at your hotel in the city of Monteverde to start this 2-hour tour. This is a tour that consists of 3 parts that starts with an interesting story about ground coffee and then its history in Costa Rica. Then the guide will give you interesting aspects about the Costa Rican culture and while you continue the journey you will learn all the steps involved in making a cup of coffee, starting from the grain.
The second part of the tour is to show you how to make chocolate from cocoa. In this part of the tour you will see the cocoa plantations that are in the area and you will be given important information about this tradition.
Continuing with the third and last part of the 2-hour tour, you will visit the sugarcane fields. During this section of the tour you will learn about the history, types of crops and sugar-based sugarcane manufacturing process. At the end of all this you will be returned at your hotel in Monteverde.
