Private City and Canal Connection Tour From Tocumen Airport (PTY)

This is an all included City and Canal Tour that starts from Panama’s Tocumen Airport. This tour is perfect if you are on Transit in between flights. The tour is a private tour which means you will not be mixed with other groups, and the transport and guide will be just for your group. The order of the tour can change sometimes depending on what time you start, as we always bring you to the Canal when there are boats going through the locks. The canal schedule changes every day, so we change the order based on this so you will always see the boats going through the locks.

If the pickup from the airport is very early you can be brought for a local Panamanian Breakfast, or to an international restaurant too if you prefer. Later in the day you will also be given some time if you would like to eat lunch too. These meals are not included, and the time you decide to eat can be organised with your private guide during the day.

The tour starts when you come out of the arrivals gate, you must turn to the right, and your guide will be there waiting for you with your name on a sign. Then the first stop is normally to the Miraflores Locks Visitor Centre on the Panama Canal. The entrance fees are included in the price of the tour. Here you go to the museum, watch the boats going through the locks, and watch the movie about the canal. You will have about 1 hour to enjoy the visitors centre. After seeing the canal, we will then visit the be the Kuna Tribe Marketplace where you can see and purchase local arts and crafts.

From there we go to the newly developed Causeway, where you can take photos with the famous Panama sign, see the city skyline, visit the Duty-Free Centre, and see the Bridge of the Americas. During your time in causeway you will also see the Bio Museum and receive an explanation of the history of Panama. You will also be told the secrets of how Causeway was built.

To finish this all included private tour you will be given a walking tour of Casco Viejo. Your guide will show you and explain the history of the most famous plazas and churches. You will also have the opportunity to stop in a few local shops, take photos, and of course ask any questions.

Finally, before being brought back to the airport, your guide will bring you to see the New City and its amazing architecture and buildings.

For those of you worried about missing your connection, this has never happened to us. We have backup cars and guides, and we always leave a lot of spare time just in case there is any issues or traffic. You will always be on time for your connection.
