Embera All Included Indigenous Tour From Panama City

This all-inclusive tour to the Embera Community starts when you are collected from your hotel between 8.30 and 9:00am. The transport will spend about 20 minutes collecting people from different hotels or residences in Panama City and then go towards to the Embera Community.

It takes about 1 hour to get to the Chagres river where you will board a boat / canoe. Once you arrive to the Island you will do a light 15-minute walk to a waterfall, where you can swim and relax for a while. If you want to swim there, make sure that you bring a towel, and spare clothes with you.

At about 11:00am you will go to the Embera Village, where you will receive an indigenous show, that includes dancing, music, history, culture, skin painting (tattoos) and more. You will receive a lunch which is Patacones (fried green plantain slices), fish of the day, fruit and water. There are no other options on the menu, so bring some snacks or sandwiches if you prefer to eat something different.

You will be given time to explore the local crafts and buy some souvenirs, and get a tattoo done on your arm if you wish. The price for tattoos usually ranges between 2 and 5 USD depending on the size. You can return to Panama City like a real Indigenous Community Member.

You will return on the boat / canoe to the main land, and then take the transport back to Panama City.
