This shared tour to the Emberá Katuma community starts when you are picked up at your hotel or residence in Panama City to take you to the Gamboa pier. Upon reaching the pier, you will take a boat to the Emberá Katuma community. You will be welcomed by the community with traditional music and dances and then, you will do a historic walking tour and have lunch (included in the tour price). Also, you can buy handmade crafts. Detailed Description
This is a shared tour to the Emberá Katuma Community starts from Panama City. You will be picked up at your hotel or residence in Panama City between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning to take you to the Gamboa public pier.
At the pier, your guide will be waiting for you to board the boat that will take you to the Emberá Katuma community, the boat trip takes about 15 minutes.
When you arrive at the community, the locals will welcome you with traditional music and dances. Then, they will give you a little talk about the history of the Emberá Katuma community, you will do a walking tour to get to know the community and if you wish, you can buy handmade crafts.
Before finishing the tour, you will taste a delicious traditional lunch (included in the tour price), usually fish and patacones (fried green Plantains).
The tour ends with your return by car to your hotel or residence in Panama City.
