Detailed Description
The firSt day you can visit the city of Cienfuegos, founded on april 22, 1819 with families from Burdeos, New Orleans and Haiti. It is called La Perla del Caribe ( Pearl of the South) and the City of Benny More, his famous singer of son ( cuban rhythm).
This place seduces travelers from around the island with its elegance, enlightened French spirit and feisty Caribbean panaché. It is the Paris of Cuba. Including in this tour a promenade in a ship all around the blue and beautiful Bay of Cienfuegos.
We will stop to see The Jagua Castle, a bayside fort made by spaniards in 1745 to protect the bay against pirates, at that time the third most important fortress in Cuba. Lunch in a restaurant in front of the bay ( mainly seafood). Return to the city to see the Parque Marti including the Terry Theater, Prado Promenade, a wealthy neighbourhood “ Punta Gorda” and the amazing Palace of Valle.
Take a shower in a private house, the same you will use to sleep (price around 40 cuc per couple). Dinner in a different restaurant (maybe in the same house). Night time in the Benny's Bar.
The second day we wake up and have breakfast ( included in the price) and we go to the city of Trinidad ( 1514), declared by UNESCO in 1988 World Heritage Site. It is one-of-a-kind preserved Spanish colonial settlement where the clocks stopped ticking in 1850 and-bar the odd gaggle of turist. Built on huge sugar fortunes amassed in the adjacent Valle de Ingenios the early 19th century, the richest of the town's pre-War of Independence heyday are still very much in evidence in illustrius colonial-style mansions bedecked with Italian frescoes . Wedgewood china, Spanish furniture and french chandeliers.
