Departing from Whitelee Windfarm, UK's largest onshore windfarm, located on Eaglesham Moor, you will enjoy the great outdoors and natural surroundings with great views across a stunning landscape with your whole family.
With over 130kms of trails, winding through 215 turbines that generate up to 539 megawatts of electricity. It is an interesting place to see mile after mile of these engineering artworks that generate energy and to see a wind turbine up close and understand its operation in more details.
From the viewpoint located at the top of the Blackwood Hill you can enjoy stunning views on a clear day to see over 80 miles including Ben Lomond, Ailsa Craig and Arran. This is half day walking tour recommended for whole families who are looking for a short to medium walk and would like to explore the largest UK’s Windfarm.
This tour departs every hour from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

- Please consider this is a Grade Four Tour which means easier long walks. Mostly well-defined paths. Requires fitness for longer walks, up to 20 km. Routes may include some hills and uneven surface.

If you cancel your booking 30 days or more before the event we will refund 50% of the payment, but NO payment will be refunded for any cancellation less than 30 days.
If we cancel any trip (very unlikely) your payment will be refunded in full. We are not liable for any additional costs.

Do I need to bring my own gear and equipment?
Yes, you will need appropriate outdoor gear for the time of year and weather conditions. Your guide has the right to refuse your participation in any activity if you do not have appropriate gear. Let us know in advance if wish to borrow or hire some appropriate gear. Please see ‘recommended equipment’ list.
