This 3 hour walking tour through the streets of Verona’s central hub will introduce you to all the best parts of the city. You will see the most important monuments of Verona departing from Corso Porta Nuova, then you go to L’Arnea, L’Arco dei Gavi, Piazza Erbe, Castel San Pietro and the tour ends in Ponte Pietra.

Detailed Description
Your guide will be waiting for you at Corso Porta Nuova 18 and he/she will show the best and most famous monuments of Verona in this 3 hour walking tour.
You will begin with Verona Main Gate and the Clock of the Count Nogarola, that was constructed by the Visconti family, 1389 – 1402 a.C. Near here you can find the Sheakspeare “plate” with the famous word pronounced by Romeo during the exile. On the right from the door there is the amazing Museo Maffeiano.
Then you will go to L’Arena, The third largest outdoor amphitheater in Italy. Used by Romans for gladiator’s games now you can find here the most suggestive lyrical season in the world. The tour continues to L’Arco dei Gavi and Castelvecchio e Il Ponte Scaligero.
You will also visit Portoni Borsari, Piazza Erbe, Piazza Danteand Arche Scaligere. Then you will have a short break before you go to the famous balcony of Juliet. You will continue with a little walk along the river Adige and arrive to Castle San Pietro e Il Teatro Romano. Your last stop is Ponte Pietra where the tour ends.

Where does the free walking tour verona leave from?
Our walk leaves from Corso Porta Nuova 18 (close to McDonald’s). Your guide will be waiting there with a yellow poster.

What if I’m not a walker?
Our walk is an easy wander through the city and is suitable for people of all ages and all fitness levels. The entire walk spans about four kilometres and includes plenty of stops along the way.

What do I need to bring?
Comfortable shoes, a bottle of water (there will be opportunities to fill up on the way), and sunscreen if we are in the summer time.

Bookings are not necessary, but feel free to contact us if you have a big group (10 people or more) and you want peace of mind that we are expecting you.
