Geothermal Walk and Waterfall
Enjoy a 6 hour tour, in which your guide will take you to the Orakei Korako Geothermal Park, with the opportunity to explore volcanoes, hot springs and bubbling mud pools. Then you will kayak down the Waikato River, the longest in New Zealand, to enjoy a fresh latté or an ice cold drink while enjoying the views of Lake Ohakuri from the Waikato River. The starting and ending point will be at Unit 2, 876 Acacia Bay Road, Acacia Bay, Taupo.

Detailed Description
In this unique 6 hour tour, you will meet your guide at 9:00 AM in Unit 2, 876 Acacia Bay Road, Acacia Bay, Taupo, to begin the tour, your guide will take you to the hidden valley of the Orakei Korako Geothermal Park where you can explore a volcanic world of geysers, hot springs, bubbling mud pools and some of the largest and most amazing silica terraces in the world.
Orakei Korako has the most active geysers in any geothermal park in New Zealand. Up to 23 active natural geysers play freely throughout the area, which changes constantly. You will be amazed with the amount of boiling hot springs and the vibrant colors that surround you or simply enjoy a native hike through this intact geothermal paradise. The Lonely Planet guide describes Orakei Korako as: "possibly the best thermal area left in New Zealand".
After that, you will board a kayak to navigate the Waikato River, the longest river in New Zealand, enjoying the spectacular scenery. There you will sow for your Squeeze Trip, walking through the water to your knees, maneuvering through narrow crevices, climbing boulders, walking through stunning native New Zealand shrubs and emerging in a waterfall of hot water. With a small climb, you can relax in the hot springs of a natural heating pool.
Then you will return to the kayaks to row towards Orakei Korako. Once there, you will enjoy a fresh latté or an ice cold drink while you enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Ohakuri from the Waikato River from its riverside cafeteria. At the end of the tour, you will return to where you started.

Cancellation Policy
If a customer chooses to cancel:
Up to 48 hours before departure time rebooking at no extra cost, or refund less 10% booking fee. Within 24 to 48 hours before departure time rebooking at no extra cost, or refund less 50%. Within 24 hours of departure or after departure time rebook with a 10% booking fee or no refund.
Cancellation by the Guide:
Taupo kayaking Adventures reserves the right to cancel or amend any tour due to road, track, water or weather conditions. If we cancel a tour due to such circumstances, you will have the following options:
Cancel the day’s outing for a full refund:
Choose an alternate tour or walk option from the Operator’s available services. Customers will be refunded the cost of the tour less the price of the alternative trip chosen.
You will receive no refund:
If you miss the tour departure (e.g sleeping late, unexpected illness or injury, vehicle breakdowns, etc), If we have to cancel the booking due to clients ill health, poor fitness, intoxication.
