Detailed Description
Leaving at your central hotel in Florence or at the entrance of the gallery, you will reach the fascinating Uffizi Gallery, where you will find works by Michelangelo, Titian and Caravaggio, as well as interesting collections of Flemish, Dutch and French artists.
During this guided walking tour, you will learn the history of these majestic pieces of art, as well as that of their painters. You will also get to know a bit about the Grand Duke Cosimo I, who commissioned the Uffizi from Vasari; one of the most famous architects of the 16th century.
The works in the gallery are arranged in chronological order, starting with painting in Florence and Siena in the twelfth century, then the early and high Renaissance, Mannerism and the Baroque. Also, in The Uffizi is a wonderful collection of ancient sculpture.
During the tour, you will familiarize yourself with the most famous masterpieces of world art and with the masters represented in the Gallery.

- The Uffizi has to be booked, or visitors risk standing in line around 5 hours to get in. After ten people they are considered as a group and should pay for tickets in Advance. One ticket for the Uffizi, together with the reservation, now costs € 24.00 EUR payable at the ticket office on arrival.
