Detailed Description
Look for the red umbrella in Plaza Arriaga to begin your tour. From there you will begin your 2 hour walk with the Arriaga Theatre as your first stop, it gets its name from the famous composer with the same name nicknamed the “Spanish Mozart”.
Then you will visit the Church of Saint Anthony the Great, which witnessed events like the flood of 1983, that you can still see it marks. Later, you will walk to Nueva Square, famous for its pintxos bars and then pass by the Begoña Stairs, where your guide will explain where they go and why they are important.
The Unamuno Square follows on your tour and the seven roads, the true old city of Bilbao. The Ribera Market is also one of your stops and the Santiago’s Cathedral, dedicated to the Apostle Santiago, patron saint of the city. Your last stop will be the Concordia Station, also known as Santander Station, a beautiful modernist architecture from the early twentieth century.
