On this full day tour, you will be picked up at your hotel by your guide at 7:00 AM. Your guide will explain everything to you while traveling on board a bus from Auckland to the Waikato region, to arrive at Shire's Rest where you will start your walking tour through the Hobbiton movie set. Then visit the Green Dragon Inn and enjoy a complimentary drink with a buffet lunch. Then you will return to the same place where you started.

Detailed Description
Have fun on an interesting full day tour through the land of hobbits. You will be picked up at your hotel by a bus that will take you from Auckland to a magical journey through Middle earth to the Hobbiton movie set of "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" for a fascinating guided tour.
Together with your guide, you will travel south from Auckland over the hills of Bombay to the rich farmlands of the Waikato region. This trip will take you through the green hills reminding you that you are approaching the Shire. Your Bush and Beach guide will give you explanations on the way down on the areas for which you will travel and knowledge about the background of the films.
Once you arrive at Shire's Rest, you will begin a walking tour through the Hobbiton movie set. This location is the largest "green set" in the world and the only part of the remaining set in New Zealand. You'll see 44 hobbits, the Mill and the double arch bridge and the party tree. In this incredible place, you can take a picture at the door of Bilbo's house, "Bag End", looking at the whole distance up to the hills.
At the end of the tour you will visit the Green Dragon Inn, where you can enjoy complimentary beer, soda or ginger ale. Additional, after the tour a buffet lunch for a Hobbit is included and served in the tent next to the Green Dragon before returning to Auckland. You will also receive a $10.00 NZD voucher to buy at the Hobbiton gift shop with your tour of Bush and the beach. After having enjoyed this great day you will return to Auckland and you will be left again at your hotel around 3:15 PM.
