You will meet your guide at the Abbey of Saint Germain des Press, then you will get to learn the history behind these trendy confections and see for yourself which brand of macaron you like the most as you walk through the ancient streets of the Saint German Quarter in this 2.5 hours guided tour.
The tour includes 5 gourmet macarons per person (flavour depends on the day) and a visit to 5 gourmet macarons shops on which your guide will tell you the history associated with each and the historical landmarks around the Saint German Quarter.
This tour ends at the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens or an indoor café in poor weather, where you will partake in a macaron judging activity to see which ones are the best. You will compare your answers with your friends, and if you want you can convert the provided special judging sheet to a picture frame to post on social media.
