This 2 hour walking tour begins at the Clutha and Victoria Bar, from there you will walk the oldest streets of Glasgow and visit cherished venues as the mighty Barrowland Ballroom and the venerable Britannia Panopticon – Britain’s oldest surviving music hall.
This city has been a creative stamping ground for everyone from Stan Laurel to Billy Connolly, Simple Minds and Franz Ferdinand. You will learn the story of the veteran venues and, the relationship between the city’s visual arts community and its musicians.
Your guide will take you to the legendary pubs frequented by folk music giants, and the newer, noisier upstarts that keep the grassroots scene growing. This tour finishes at Mono Café Bar where customers can enjoy a 25% discount on food.

Are tours ever cancelled because of bad weather?
Unless the Met Office has issued a warning of severe gales and advised against travel, tours will take place. Heavy rain, snow, or wind will not halt the tours. If you are unsure, email us: info@glasgowmusiccitytours.com or call +44 131 558 2715 Glasgow can be sunny but is not generally known as a place to top up your tan. Our guides are good at finding sheltered spots en route but warm and waterproof clothing are recommended. An umbrella may prove useful.
