Detailed Description

The meeting point will be at 9:00 AM in front of the Dean Court Hotel in Duncombe Place, near York Minster, where you will meet your local guide and from there you will go to your first stop in the North York National Park Moors.

Next, you will hear all the history that the guide has to tell you once you enter the national park, you can also make a small stop in Helmsley, where you can see the medieval castle, explore the picturesque shops or just take a Yorkshire Brew.

Then, you will travel through Hutton Le Hole and up the North York Moors to take some photos, passing the 16th century Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge (the highest point of the Moors) and Ralph's Cross, then through the picturesque village of Yorkshire leading to Whitby. When you arrive in Whitby, you will hear the stories about the coastal city and the guide will inform you about the main places of interest that you could visit.

In Whitby, you can do many activities such as visiting the Captain Cook Museum, shopping for Whitby Jet or Gothic Fashion at the Market, try the famous Fish 'n' Chips at the Magpie Café or simply enjoy the beach.

Our tour continues to Goathland in time to see the other passengers arriving by steam train, then we learn about "Hogsmeade", before exploring the fictitious postcard village of "Aidensfield" on the television series Heartbeat and maybe having an ice cream from the village store.

The tour will end at the same starting point, near York Minster where the local guide can provide you with the necessary information to return to your hotel.
