Detailed Description
Enjoy visiting the mansion. Pittock was built in 1909 as a private home for the Oregon publisher, Henry Pittock and his wife Georgiana. It is a building of 46 rooms built with Tenino sandstone.
You can also visit the Lan Su Chinese Garden, of which 90% of the plant species that live there are originally from China, but none were imported given the legal prohibitions of the time. Most of these plants were obtained from some of the houses in the old Chinatown and replanted in this garden, therefore, some of these plants are more than 100 years old!
Another stop will be the International Rose Test Garden covering 18,000m2 in downtown Portland, the Willamette River and east Portland. On clear days, there are views of the Cascade, of Mount Hood.
Then you will meet some of the oldest neighbourhoods in Portland and the company of your guide you can also take a tour of Aerial tram.
This tour lasts 3.5 hours and you will be moving through each site in a tourist van.
