Detailed Description
This tour starts from the Rotunda of Aix en Provence at 9:00 AM. Where your guide will pick you up on a 9 seater van or BMW 5 series.
To start this excursion, you will make a stop at the which Albert Camus rests. You will walk through the streets of one of the most beautiful villages in France and enjoy its typical Mediterranean architecture. Then you will visit the colourful village of Roussillon and its Colorado.
Later, you will go to the “Black Village”, one of the most typical hamlets of Provence. The architecture of these skilful pilings of unattached dry stones is in perfect harmony with the natural elements, which are no longer present, of the Provence.
Your journey continues a few steps from the Village of Bories by stopping at the Sénanque Abbey, one of the most popular emblems of the Provence with its lavender fields. Then you will have an hour to survey the village of Gordes and its many oil mills. After that, you will have a short stroll to glimpse the source of the Sourge popping out of nowhere at the exit of the village of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse Who gave his name to the department.
You will end this excursion with a short stop to admire the Venice Comtadine. Then you will be driven back to Aix en Provence.
