Small Group Santorini Sightseeing Tour

Enjoy morning pickup at your Santorini Hotel or from exits of the cable car in Fira. Then, board a comfortable Mercedes Benz minibus to travel the 10 km distance to the north of the island where the historical village of Oia is located.

After heading north, you will reach the northern part of Santorini where the village of Oia is. You will walk through the marble paved narrow streets, marvel the architecture of the captains’ houses, explore the picturesque parts of cosmopolitan Oia and take as many photographs as you can. Your private guide will allow you time to spend either for photo shooting, going shopping or having a refreshment/snack with the rest of the group members.

Then, your tour guide will lead you to the heart of Imerovigli explaining to you the architecture, the blue dome cathedral and the numerable hotels perched on the caldera cliffs. From a special edge of the caldera vista, you will be amazed by the colourful cliff formation, the whitewashed hotel rooms and the blue dome chapel where many couples get married or even proposed.

Your next stop is Firostefani, its name literally means the crown of Fira. As a “crown” caldera place will make you feel enchanted by the beauty of the deep blue caldera sea lagoon. The famous blue dome church that prevails in many Santorini postcards awaits you to visit it. The view is spectacular and compensates every penny of this tailor-made tour.

You will then go to the core of the island, the Prophet Ilias Mountain. On one of the summits there is the Prophet Ilias Greek Christian Orthodox monastery dedicated to the ascetic Old Testament figure of Prophet Elijah. A part of the well-preserved monastery is visitable and the view from the highest point of the island is more than rewarding.

Later follows the village of Megalochori, one of the most beautiful villages of Santorini and you will be taken on a walking tour before going to the Venetsanos winery, the oldest industrial winery of the island. There you can enjoy your wine tasting; five wines of different varieties will be offered to you. Besides that, a winery local guide will provide you with a brief tour inside the historical place of the winery as well as information about the viniculture of the island.

To end the tour, you will rest and relax in the Black Beach, also have a meal or an aperitif or swim. Then, your guide will take you back to your hotel.
