Detailed Description
The meeting point will be at 9:00 AM at the main entrance of the Gresham Hotel on O'Connell St. Where you will meet your local guide, Liam. Next, you will go up to the Sacred Irish Tours mini coach and travel to your first stop at Powerscourt Estate, voted one of the ten most important houses and mansions in the world by the Lonely Planet guide. You will be at this stop approximately 1.5 hours where you will have time to enjoy the best views of Ireland and also to tour the place at your own pace.
Next, you will take a tour through the Wicklow Mountains. You can listen to the stories of Glencree Valley and the famous Sally Gap. You'll see places like the Guinness Heritage, Lugh Dan, and the Glenmacnass waterfall. You will arrive at Laragh Village, it is a small picturesque village in the county of Wicklow, Ireland. Here you will make a stop to have lunch and rest before continuing with this tour.
The next stop will be in Glendalough, This early Christian church settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Located in a glacial valley with two lakes, the monastic remains include a magnificent round tower, stone churches, and decorated crosses. You can visit the visitor center and learn the history of the place. You will travel back to Dublin and arrive approximately at 6:00 PM to the same starting point at the Gresham Hotel.
