Detailed Description
On this half-day tour, you will leave from the Tourism Village in Belize City, disembarking from your dinghy, look for the Diamonds International store in Terminal 2. Walk through the store to the Fort Street gate. At the door, a representative of Splash Wave Tours will receive you.
Next, you will hear a brief narrative from the guide explaining an introduction to the animals of Belize, and understanding why it is important to protect the habitats that support them. You will arrive at the Zoo and you will find animals that were orphaned, rescued, born in the zoo, animals rehabilitated or sent to the Belize Zoo as donations from other zoological institutions.
After walking more than 80 acres of tropical savannah and admiring more than 150 animals, you can enjoy a delicious local lunch and finally prepare yourself to go back to the same starting point.
