Detailed Description
We will meet in our store at 6:00 PM with our guide and begin our tour with our bike tour through different places in Seville. Our first visit will be the Torre del Oro, built in the 13th century, during the Almohade period. It is said that it collected all the gold that came from the Indies (customs).
Then we will go to the Cathedral, which after the Reconquest of the City by Fernando III, decided to create, according to the legend: "A church so big that those who see it finished have us crazy". The Cathedral was built from 1402 on an old Arab mosque and in 1987 was declared by UNESCO, a World Heritage Site.
We will also visit, the Giralda, the most representative monument of Seville. It is the minaret of the main mosque. Its construction began in 1184. At 117.50 meters high, it was once the tallest tower in Europe. The Giralda has no stairs, but ramps wide enough to allow the person in charge of summoning the population to prayer could climb them mounted on horseback, then stop at Reales Alcazares which is definitely one of the most impressive monuments of Seville that We can not stop visiting. The Alcazar is a fortress palace. Today it is the residence of the Royal House when you are visiting Seville. It has been the scene of some films like "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Game of Thrones".
Then, we will visit the Maria Luisa Park (Plaza de España), these gardens, which were originally part of the gardens of the San Telmo Palace, were donated in 1893 by the Infanta Maria Luisa Fernanda of Orleans to the city. The Plaza de España and the Plaza de América were opened in the park, which are some of its main attractions. Here we will stop for a drink and some tapas on one of its terraces (not included in the price).
After our rest we continue to the Barrio de Santa Cruz located in the center of the city is full of whitewashed houses, stately, family palaces, humble courtyards full of flowers and above all, legends, duels, love affairs and memories, charm and beauty, Then we will visit the Royal Tobacco Factory, a building built in stone during the 18th century, as the site of the first tobacco factory established in Europe. It currently houses the headquarters of the Rector of the University of Seville and some of its faculties.
Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla is another of the places we will visit, this is a cavalry institution created in 1670 whose original intention was the training of the nobility in arms and the equestrian practice of a warlike character at the service of the Spanish crown.
We will finish the tour in the Barrio de Triana, in the cultural heart of Spain, concentrating the arts of flamenco, bullfighting, painting, literature and ceramics. Origin of large numbers of sailors and explorers during the Spanish empire and place of the first church in Seville. Then we will return to our store where we began our tour.
