Handbags, backpacks and rucksacks are all permitted on-board our speedboats. Suitcases or larger items can be left at the Left Luggage facility at Waterloo Station.
-
Where do we need to go?
Please check your booking confirmation for full details of where to embark your Thames experience. Our two departure points are Boarding Gate One, The London Eye Pier and St Katharine Pier under Tower Bridge. If you have booked an amended departure you will find bespoke details on your charter confirmation.
-
I’m pregnant. Can I sail?
Unfortunately we do not allow mothers at any stage of pregnancy on board any of our experiences.
-
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and any guests coming with you! Your booking with us will be on our crew’s trip report, so simply check-in with the lead name and have a note of your booking code to hand, this can be found on your email confirmation. We always recommend dressing for London weather and wearing comfortable shoes, with hats, gloves and scarves are recommended in the winter season.
-
Will I get wet on-board?
Thames Rockets do not operate a ‘get wet’ water experience, however, in windy conditions it is possible for spray to blow across the decks and if it rains the boat is open to the elements. We provide full waterproofs and (weather permitting!) all our passengers leave us as dry as they arrived.
-
What happens if it rains?
We’re a hardy bunch at Thames Rockets and sail whatever the weather. Full waterproof clothing including goggles are available for the most adventurous of outings!
-
Can I take pictures, bring a GoPro and film on-board?
100% yes, take pictures, speedboat selfies and shoot a video of London! We love our passengers capturing memories of your time with us as long as it doesn’t impact on other guests on-board.
-
Do I need to wear a lifejacket?
It is mandatory for all passengers to wear one of our industry standard lifejackets. They are very comfortable, adjustable with sizes up to a 54 inch chest.
