Tunnels Tour
Enjoy an interesting 2.5 hour tour through the tunnels of the Fremantle prison. The tours begin in the prison starting at 9:00 AM throughout the day at different times until 3:25 PM. Together with your guide you will descend 20 meters under the prison to walk through the tunnels built by the prisoners and you will discover the holes of original explosions and perforations. You will navigate by boat through the tunnels, this being the last part of the tour.

Detailed Description
Live a unique experience on this 2.5 hour tour in Fremantle prison. The meeting point is in Fremantle prison from 9:00 AM, there are different departure times until 3:25 PM. When you arrive you must sign the declaration form before participating in the tunnel tour, copies will be available in the place. Once you are with your guide to start the tour you will place the appropriate equipment and clothing to start.
First you will receive a small informative talk. Then you will lock yourself in the staircase system and descend approximately 20 meters below the prison, where you can explore the tunnels built by the prisoners. You can also discover original explosions holes, perforations, oil lamps and other artifacts that were used at the time while building the tunnels they made for the forced labor of the prisoners.
Then the guide will take you to a drier section through the tunnels to continue the walk. Before arriving at the section where you will explore passages through a boat, since it is the only way to access that part, this being the last part of the route.

What is the minimum age for the tour?
The minimum age is 12 years old. Children between 12 and 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years old). If a child can not complete the tour for any reason, it must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian. Those 16 and 17 years old must have declaration forms signed by a parent or guardian, but can participate in the tour without the presence of an adult.
