It will be 4.5 kilometers that you will walk to explore and explore this incredible place. You will also have the opportunity to see kakariki, saddleback and other birds in their natural habitat. The starting and ending point oof the tour will be in Golden Bay.

Detailed Description
Enjoy a 4 hour guided walk, this tour departs from Golden Bay at 8:30 AM, along with your internationally renowned guides on a tour of the Ulva Island or Te Wharawhara, which is the open bird sanctuary, which combines the native forest of podocarp, picturesque sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and about 4.5 kilometers of walking trails.
This place was declared pest free in 1997, the island Ulva provides a habitat where rare plants and endangered birds can thrive. You will have the opportunity to observe Stewart island robin, kakariki, saddleback, mohua (yellow head) and, if lucky, Stewart Island Brown Kiwi (Tokoeka). You will also have time to walk freely around the place.
It is a truly impressive place, as well as its unique forest habitat and cultural history. At the end of the tour, you will return to the same place where you started.
