Detailed Description
You will start this gastronomic tour at 10:00 AM at the green gates at the main entrance of Mercado de Colón, located in the Eixample district. Under the avant-garde architecture, you will taste a refreshing Horchata de chufa, also known as the most traditional Valencian drink, and a fartón pastry, one of the best in town.
Next, you will squeeze into a tiny artisan chocolate shop to taste 2 mouth-watering speciality chocolates. You’ll love them! Moving onto Mercado Central, Valencia’s famous food market, you'll be led down the chaotic aisles to learn about our wonderful produce and key spices such as Spanish Saffron, on why it’s one of the most expensive and best qualities in the world.
You will stop for a gourmet tasting of jamón, chorizo, local cheeses and red wine, where you’ll learn about the mysterious differences between jamón ibérico and serrano.
The next stop is a tasting of beautiful Valencian olive oils, tapenades and jam, all enjoyed with Spanish white wine. You’ll finish up around 2:00 PM at a small local taberna for some traditional tapas and more wine or a nice cold local beer. Sounds good?

- There is a possibility some of the tour stops may be closed during August and on certain public holidays. Should this happen, you’ll be taken to alternative locations of equal value.

If you cancel more than 2 days (48 hours) prior to the scheduled departure, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel 2 days (48 hours) or less prior to the scheduled departure, there is a cancellation fee of 100%.

Can I bring my children to the tour?
This is a child-friendly tour. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 years old inclusive are welcome to join on the Child Tour Price. Children under the age of 6 are permitted to join the tour free of charge.
