Detailed Description
Meet your guide near the entrance of the Vatican Museums to begin your family oriented tour of 3 hours, where you will see a world famous collection of art and artifacts. Each guide has been carefully chosen for his or her ability to make what is sometimes complex history and art interesting and understandable for children of all ages, often through interactive activities.
The Vatican Museums stretch for nearly 4.5 miles inside the Vatican City and it contains around 70.000 artworks, which can obviously be a little bit overwhelming. In just 3 hours, your expert guide will make sure that you get to see the most important highlights and maximize your visit.
With a carefully crafted route, you will visit the most important rooms of this vast museum, including the Sistine Chapel, from where you can admire the wonderful frescos that decorate the interior of it. Learn more about the artists and important figures that walked these corridors.
At the end of the 3 hour tour, you'll exit the museums through the Sistine Chapel and into St. Peter's Square. St. Peter's Basilica is easy to visit immediately afterward but is not included on this tour.

- Children must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is for family with children or teens only
- Wear comfortable shoes the museums cover about 4.5 miles with long halls and several staircases with a lot to explore
- Cover up, bare shoulders and knees are not allowed when entering the Vatican City Entrance will be denied without refund for noncompliance
- Unpredictable circumstances, due to the popularity of Pope Francis and the “Jubilee Holy Year of Mercy” at the Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and other Galleries inside the museums may close without prior notice. Under such circumstances we will complete the tour inside the Vatican museums
- Security entrance, small backpacks are allowed, over sized items will require check in
- Liquids and sharp items are not allowed through the security check point
- Wednesday mornings and Sundays are not available, due to Papal Audiences on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s, we do not offer tours on these days.
