Detailed Description
Enjoy a full day tour, in which you will visit the west coast of Auckland. The meeting point with your guide is in our offices at 9:30 AM to travel by bus, to different places in this part of the city.
You will visit Villa María, which is the largest private and awarded wine company in New Zealand. Its architecturally awarded property in Auckland is located in the volcanic basin "Ihumatao" just south of the city and planted with Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer and Verdelho. Like most winemakers in Auckland, they also have vineyards spread across New Zealand to offer the best grapes for their range of wines, including the varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Arnies, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Syrah , Cabernet and Merlot.
Along the way, you'll make a stop to enjoy the spectacular 360 degree views from the top of one of Auckland's inactive volcanic landmarks "Maungakiekie", site of a Maori "Pa" also known as "One Tree Hill". This sleeping volcanic cone is now located in the center of beautiful Cornwall Park, which offers panoramic views of the skyline to the city skyline, the Hauraki Gulf and the Waitemata Harbor (Pacific Ocean) and the Manukau Harbor (Tasman Sea). You can also go back in time with a look inside the oldest wooden house in Auckland.
In Villa María they will explain a little more about the wineries and the wines, followed by a tasting of award winning wines and lunch in one of their delicious dishes. After lunch you will visit a mix of three family wineries located in the beautiful rural countryside (Kumeu / Huapai / Waimauku) northwest of the city before returning to the city. At the end of a tour, you will return to the same place where you started around 5:00 PM.

Full payment is required once the tour has started.
