You will be picked up at your hotel and then ride through our 2,500-acre working cattle ranch and soak up the breathtaking views of the Makaleha mountain range, as seen in the Jurassic Park movies. Tie up your horse and take a short steep hike down to our private 80-foot Kalihiwai Waterfall. By the end you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Ride through our 2,500-acre working cattle ranch and soak up the breathtaking views of the Makaleha mountain range, as seen in the Jurassic Park movies. You will be picked up at your hotel and then tie up your horse and take a short steep hike down to our private 80-foot Kalihiwai Waterfall. Total tour time 3.5 hrs.
Jump in, cool off, explore the falls as we prepare a delicious picnic-style lunch. Your hike back will take you through a lush rain forest, traversing streams and climbing up a 10-foot rock wall. A leisurely ride back on your gentle horse rounds out the perfect Hawaiian horseback adventure.
In contrast to the usual nose-to-tail experience, we encourage you to spread out and enjoy the open space on our historic cattle ranch. Your guides are educated in natural horsemanship skills and will also share their knowledge of Hawaii’s history, flora, and fauna. By the end you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Cancellation Policy
24 hours’ notice for 1-5 guests. 72 hours’ notice for 6 or more guests.
Cancellation, changes or no-shows outside these policies will be charged the full amount of the tour.
All tours go out rain or shine. In the event Princeville Ranch determines the conditions to be unsafe, guests will be rescheduled or provided a full refund prior to the tour.

Requirements?
Must be at least 8 years old. 250 lbs. weight limit. Children ages 8 to 15 years old must be accompanied on tour by an adult guest who is at least 18 years old. Children aged 16 and 17 years old may tour without an adult. A parent must sign a liability waiver at check-in.

What if I'm only a beginner?
We take all levels of riders. We give a pre-ride orientation to everyone, so that you are familiar with certain terms and comfortable with your horse.

What kind of horses do you have?
We have quarter horses and quarter/draft crosses. All our horses are geldings.
