Detailed Description
On this 8 hour walking trip, you will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel, here you will meet your guide that will take you south along a backcountry road into the Spray Valley, here your expert naturalist guide will describe your surroundings as you climb to 1,700 m/5,500 ft into the Spray Valley.
After climbing, enjoy a short walk off the beaten path exploring natural habitats of our Rocky Mountain wildlife from here you will admire the mountain scenery of jagged peaks, lakes and glaciers provides a stunning backdrop to the wilder forests and streams found here. It’s one of the best local areas for spotting moose, black and grizzly bears and other wildlife.
The highlight of these day tour is reaching the summit of Highwood Pass at 2,200m or walking along the shore of Upper Kananaskis Lake. You will experience the crisp alpine air, rich views and opportunities to spot wildlife. By the middle of the day enjoy a lunch at Boundary Ranch and then be taken back to your hotel.
