Detailed Description
The meeting point will be at 9:00 AM in front of the Dean Court Hotel in Duncombe Place, near York Minster, where you will meet your local guide and from there you will go to your first stop in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Next, you can admire Wensleydale's most famous monument, the 14th-century Bolton Castle that once housed Mary Queen of Scots, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy and photograph the magnificent views of Wensleydale, learn the history of the area and enjoy from a relaxed Yorkshire Brew.
Then, you will follow the route to the next departure point, but during the way you will be able to admire Aysgarth, the place of Robin Hood's filamción. You will arrive at Hawes, the stage of Darrowby in the television series of James Herriot. At this point you will stay 1 hour and a half where you will also have the opportunity to learn about the cheese making process at the world famous Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Center.
Our tour continues to the conservation village of Arncliffe and you can stop at the famous Falcon Inn, the original Woolpack of the television series Emmerdale Farm and listen to the important information of these places narrators by the guide. You will continue the journey through the beautiful countryside of the National Park, passing through Kilnsey Crag and the village of Grassington as you head towards the Nidderdale Hills, an area of extraordinary natural beauty.
Before finishing the tour, you will visit the charming little town of Pateley Bridge, winner of the Great British High Street Competition in 2016, where you will have the option of visiting The oldest candy store in the world. We will return to York at 5:45 PM to the same starting point at York Minster.
